Pada hari Minggu, 12 Maret 2017, Teach For Indonesia bersama mahasiswa Universitas Bina Nusantara mengadakan kunjungan ke Panti Yayasan Sinar Pelangi Jatibening yang beralamat di Jl.Kemangsari II No.39, RT.001/011, Kel.Jatibening Baru, Kec.Pondok Gede 17412, Bekasi,Jawa Barat.

“Yayasan Sinar Pelangi Jatibening adalah suatu lembaga sosial yang menolong anak-anak penyandang cacat fisik secara medis dan edukatif, dengan tujuan agar setiap anak dapat keluar dari isolasi yang membelenggunya, baik yang datang dari lingkungan keluarga sendiri maupun dari lingkungan di sekitarnya, dengan harapan agar mereka dapat hidup berdampingan bersama-sama dengan anak-anak yang lain sehingga taraf hidupnya akan menjadi lebih baik dan berguna.” – Sr. Andre Lemmers, FCJM (Pendiri dan Ketua Dewan Pengurus).

Tujuan dari kunjungan ini adalah untuk melakukan pengajaran dan pendampingan kepada anak-anak berdasarkan kelompok usia. Hal ini dirasa sangat penting dalam menumbuhkan motivasi dan semangat juang dalam menjalani kehidupan sehari-hari mereka.

Selain pengajaran dan pendampingan, mahasiswa Universitas Bina Nusantara juga melakukan pengumpulan sumbangan berupa uang, buku-buku, alat tulis, alat permainan, dan barang-barang kebutuhan lainnya kepada Panti Yayasan Sinar Pelangi Jatibening. Masih banyak kebutuhan lainnya yang belum dapat terpenuhi oleh kami. Oleh karena itu, kami mengajak saudara/i sekalian dalam membantu dalam memenuhi kebutuhan anak-anak di Panti Yayasan Sinar Pelangi Jatibening dalam bentuk sumbangan uang ataupun barang.

Visitation to the Sinar Pelangi Orphanage Foundation

On Sunday, March 12, 2017, Teach For Indonesia together with students of Bina Nusantara University had a visit to the Foundation of Sinar Pelangi Jatibening located at Jl. Kemangsari II No.39, RT.001 / 011, Kel. Jatibening Baru, Kec.Pondok Gede 17412, Bekasi, West Java.

“Sinar Pelangi Foundation Jatibening is a social institution that helps children with physical disabilities medically and educatively, with the aim that every child can get out of the isolation that supports them, both those who come from his own family environment or from the surrounding environment, with the hope that they can coexist together with other children so that their standard of living will be better and more useful. ” – Sr. Andre Lemmers, FCJM (Founder and Chair of the Management Board).

The purpose of this visit is to conduct teaching and mentoring to children by age group. This is considered very important in fostering motivation and fighting spirit in living their daily lives.

In addition to teaching and mentoring, Bina Nusantara University students also collect donations in the form of money, books, stationery, play equipment, and other necessities to the Sinar Pelangi Foundation Foundation Jatibening. There are still many other needs that cannot be fulfilled by us.
