Hackathon BINUS – UNDP 15 Desember 2016

Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara yang memiliki jumlah penduduk terbesar di dunia dan merupakan negara yang memiliki keanekaragaman dan kelebihan yang tidak dimiliki oleh negara lain. Namun, hal ini tidaklah menutup kekurangan yang masih ada di Indonesia. Masih banyak masalah yang harus dibenahi di dalam lingkup masyarakatnya. Oleh karena itu, Community Development Center – Teach For Indonesia (CDC – TFI) bersama dengan Community Development Center – Academic (CDC – CDA) dan United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) menyelenggarakan lomba Hackathon yang ditujukan kepada generasi muda (mahasiswa BINUS) untuk menggagas ide dan memberikan solusi terhadap masalah yang ada di Indonesia. Setiap ide dan solusi yang ditampilkan harus mengacu kepada Sustainable Development Goals (SGGs). Tujuannya adalah agar ide dan solusi yang digagas tidak hanya berhenti dalam satu rentang waktu saja, melainkan dapat berlanjut hingga akar permasalahan yang ada dapat teratasi secara menyeluruh.

Selanjutnya, lomba ini bukan hanya untuk mencari ide dan solusi semata. Namun, mahasiswa yang mengikuti lomba ini diberikan kepercayaan dari CDC – TFI, CDC – CDA, dan UNDP untuk merealisasikan ide dan solusinya. Dalam realisasinya, CDC – TFI, CDC – CDA, dan UNDP memberikan dukungan secara penuh dalam mendampingi setiap tahapan yang dilalui satu persatu. Bahkan dana yang dibutuhkan oleh peserta akan diberikan secara penuh dari pihak UNDP.

Sebagai tambahan, lomba Hackathon ini dilakukan dengan begitu ketat dari mulai babak penyisihan dimana setiap peserta harus mengumpulkan proposal yang berisikan ide, solusi, dan anggaran biaya yang dibutuhkan dalam mengatasi permasalahan yang ada. Lomba ini berlangsung sekitar tiga bulan penuh sampai akhirnya dipilih enam tim terbaik dan tiga tim pemenang yang memiliki ide dan solusi yang dianggap dapat direalisasikan secara penuh.

Hackathon BINUS – UNDP on December 15, 2016

Indonesia is a country that has the largest population in the world and is a country that has diversity and advantages not possessed by other countries. However, this does not cover the shortcomings that still exist in Indonesia. There are still many problems that must be addressed within the scope of the community. Therefore, the Community Development Center – Teach For Indonesia (CDC – TFI) together with the Community Development Center – Academic (CDC – CDA) and the United Nations Development Program (UNDP) held a Hackathon competition aimed at the younger generation (BINUS students) to initiate ideas and provide solutions to problems that exist in Indonesia. Every idea and solution presented must refer to the Sustainable Development Goals (SGGs). The aim is that the ideas and solutions that are initiated do not only stop within a span of time, but can continue until the root of the problem can be completely resolved.

Furthermore, this competition is not just to find ideas and solutions. However, students who took part in the competition were given the confidence of the CDC-TFI, CDC-CDA, and UNDP to realize their ideas and solutions. In its realization, CDC – TFI, CDC – CDA, and UNDP provide full support in assisting each stage through one by one. Even the funds needed by participants will be given in full from the UNDP.

In addition, the Hackathon competition was conducted very tightly from the preliminary round where each participant had to submit proposals containing ideas, solutions, and budget needed to overcome the existing problems. The competition lasted for about three full months until finally six best teams were selected and three winning teams had ideas and solutions that were deemed to be fully realized.
