Deklarasi BINUS TFI untuk Indonesia

Jakarta – BINUS Teach for Indonesia (TFI) menggelar Deklarasi Program TFI untuk Indonesia, Senin (30/1). Kegiatan ini dilaksaakan sebagai wujud komitmen dari pencapaian yang diharapkan pada 2012. Juga bertujuan memperluas kegiatan TFI dan dapat menjadi milik seluruh bangsa demi pembangunan Indonesia.

Deklarasi melibatkan sejumlah rekanan seperti Gerakan Peduli Disabilitas dan Lepra Indonesia, Yayasan Cinta Anak Bangsa (YCAB), Yayasan Nurani Insani, dan Koperasi Wanita Indonesia (KOWANI). β€œIni merupakan bentuk komitmen program TFI guna pencapaian Indonesia yang lebih baik dengan menggunakan framework Millenium Development Goals (MDG),” ujar BINUS UNIVERSITY Community Development Center manager, Maria Intan Setiadi.

Beberapa deklarasi yang dicanangkan antara lain Program Orangtua Asuh untuk Anak Jalanan (Kementerian Sosial Republik Indonesia), Peningkatan Kompetensi Guru dan Siswa (Dinas Pendidikan DKI Jakarta), Program Pelatihan dan Binaan untuk Yayasan Usaha Mulia, Program Pendampingan Start0up Bisnis untuk Mantan Penderita Kusta (Gerakan Peduli Disabilitas dan Lepra Indonesia), Program Peningkatan Kompetensi untuk Yayasan Hati Nurani Insani, Kampanye Indonesia Bersih HIV-AIDS dan Narkoba.

Selain penandatanganan Deklarasi Program, diselenggarakan pula talkshow dengan topik Kesetaraan Gender dan Diskriminasi. Talkshow ini menghadirkan Angkie Yudistia (penulis), Lily Purba (Deputy Director and Migrant Human Rights Coordinator at Asian Migrant Centre, Hongkong), Maulani Rotinsulu (mantan penderita kusta), Sriyatmo (pendiri Rumah Belajar untuk Anak-anak Penderita Kusta), dan Helga (aktivis perempuan).(YD)

BINUS TFI Declaration for Indonesia

Jakarta – BINUS Teach for Indonesia (TFI) held the TFI Program Declaration for Indonesia, Monday (1/30). This activity is carried out as a form of commitment from the expected achievements in 2012. It also aims to expand TFI activities and can become the property of the whole nation for the development of Indonesia.

The declaration involved a number of partners such as the Indonesian Disability and Leprosy Care Movement, the Love Children Nation Foundation (YCAB), the Conscience Foundation, and the Indonesian Women’s Cooperative (KOWANI). “This is a form of TFI program commitment to achieving a better Indonesia by using the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) framework,” said BINUS UNIVERSITY Community Development Center manager, Maria Intan Setiadi.

Some of the declarations proclaimed include Foster Parents Program for Street Children (Ministry of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia), Increased Competence of Teachers and Students (DKI Jakarta Education Agency), Training and Fostered Programs for the Noble Business Foundation, Business Start0up Assistance Program for Former Leprosy Patients (Movement of Lepers Caring for Disability and Indonesian Leprosy), Competency Improvement Program for the Human Heart Conscience Foundation, the Indonesia Clean HIV-AIDS and Drugs Campaign.

In addition to signing the Program Declaration, a talkshow was also held on the topics of Gender Equality and Discrimination. This talkshow presented Angkie Yudistia (writer), Lily Purba (Deputy Director and Migrant Human Rights Coordinator at the Asian Migrant Center, Hong Kong), Maulani Rotinsulu (former leprosy sufferer), Sriyatmo (founder of the Learning House for Leprosy Children), and Helga (female activist).
